The highly skilled craftsmen at Fenech Guitars are constantly exploring ideas that sit beyond the boundaries of our standard range. The Maker’s Choice Series is where those ideas come to life.
This collection represents the personal vision of our team, instruments carefully curated, designed, and built from tonewoods hand-selected by the luthiers themselves. Each guitar is entirely one-of-a-kind, a singular expression of Fenech craftsmanship.

Maker’s Choice guitars are voiced and built with the same care and refinement you would expect from a Masterbuilt instrument. The difference lies in authorship.
Where our Masterbuilt Series is a fully collaborative custom experience guided personally by Aaron Fenech, the Maker’s Choice Series is driven by the collective creative instinct of the Fenech team. These are guitars we dream up, design, and bring to life, purely because we believe in the pairing.
They cannot be commissioned.

They are truly one-of-a-kind and appear only when inspiration strikes.
Where Rare Tonewoods Find Their Voice
Within our workshop sits a vast and ever-evolving collection of exceptional tonewoods, including rare, one-off sets that may never be seen again. The Maker’s Choice Series allows us to honour these pieces properly.
Sometimes a remarkable back and sides set captures our imagination first, its tonal character and visual presence guiding the body shape that will best serve it. Other times, a unique soundboard inspires the journey, and through decades of trained ears and experience, we envision the perfect pairing to unlock its full voice.
These decisions are not random. They are informed by intuition built through years at the bench, understanding stiffness, density, response, projection, and balance and knowing how to bring distinct elements together into something truly cohesive.

Because each instrument is completely unique, availability is rare and unpredictable. When a Maker’s Choice guitar is released, it stands alone, a singular expression of Fenech craftsmanship.
